After three adventurous years of traveling to Cuba and meeting with Cuban officials, GWA's President and COO, Lana Wood-MacDonald has successfully navigated the waters and struck a deal that will bring the 1st Annual International Conference on Sustainable EduTourism to Havana Cuba.
Cuba is a destination well known for its' splendid diverse geography, vibrant culture and excellent education system and as such represents a great example of a sustainable edutourism destination.
The Conference is being spearheaded by GWA and CETA, the Canadian EduTourism Associates Cooperative and will take place in November 2010. It is being supported by Cuban Ministry of Tourism, the Canadian Embassy in Havana and is being sponsored by the Spanish Hotelier Sol Melia.
GWA and CETA will be putting together a delegation of Canadian representatives from the tourism,hospitality, cultural and education sectors to travel to Havana for this International Conference and showcase the expertise that exists within the Canadian EduTourism market.
